Nano to be parked in Gujarat, car may not be out in October

New Delhi, Oct 7, 2008: Nano plant is all set to be parked in Gujarat and the fear that Nano car may not be out in October seems real. After more than two year’s wrangling, protests, street battles, political bickering and politically motivated fasting, Tatas have finally decided to shift to Modiland.

Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi who has tried to give his image as a no nonsense leader when it comes to economic reforms has extended all possible sops to Tatas. The Tata’s shift to Modi’s Gujarat will give a big boost to Modi’s image and will definitely tarnish the image of Left ruled West Bengal.

Though Tata’s exit from Singur is nothing to do with left front. All leaders of left Front were with West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee who has desperately tried to attract industries to his state. Tata’s peoples’ car would have been a big boost to the image makeover of the state.
