New Delhi, Sept 16, 2008: University teachers are sure to get hefty pay hike following recommendations of Prof. G.K Chadha, Chairman UGC Pay Review Committee two days ago.
The university teachers who were up in arms against the UGC Pay Review Committee till the other day have frozen all plans to launch agitation against the committee.
Many teachers with whom Khabrein.Info talked appreciated the recommendations of the UGC Pay Review Committee headed by Prof. GK Chadha, a former Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University.
Ever since the Sixth Pay Panel made its recommendations and its acceptance by the central government, the university teachers were feeling let down due to the delay caused in submitting the report. But they are a happy lot now.
