New Delhi, Sept 13, 2008: 18 people have been killed in serial bomb blasts across Indian capital New Delhi today evening. More than 100 people have been injured in blasts and many of them have sustained serious injuries.
The blasts targeted the important markets and trading hubs in Delhi including Indian capital’s downtown area Connaught Place, one of the busiest market in Delhi Qarol Bagh’s largest mobile handset market Ghaffar Market and the local market of upscale residential area of Greater Kailash.
Connaught place was devastated by two bomb blasts within a short period of time. The four seemingly coordinated bomb blasts took place within 45 minutes from 6:15 PM to 7:00 PM.
