Tauqir’s mother asks him to surrender, says probe in wrong direction

Mumbai, Sept 17, 2008: The alleged master mind of Delhi serial blast Tauqir’s mother has asked her son to surrender. She also said that probe was going in wrong direction.

Twenty six people were killed this last Saturday in serial bomb blasts in New Delhi. More than hundred people were also injured, many of them seriously. Almost 40 people are still in serious condition in different hospitals in the capital.

Police has claimed that Abdul Subhan Qureishi or Tauqir is the main mind behind the serial blasts. It is notwithstanding the fact that the police are still without conclusive evidence.

Tauqir’s mother who was weeping profusely while addressing a press conference said that she or her relatives have not met her son for the last eight years.

She says that she asks her son to surrender irrespective of whether he is guilty or not. But she said that her son could have never done such a ghastly thing. She added that police investigations were going on in the wrong direction.
